- ASU is a state university of higher learning which was founded in 1909 and has been in operation for almost 100 years now.
- It is a much bigger university in terms of size and student strength. The university is spread over 800 acres with 11000 students currently enrolled.
- Being a State University, its fully accredited with its MBA program also accredited by AACSB – the highest accreditation for business programs globally.
- ASU has a wider range of Undergraduate programs including engineering (at the undergraduate level only currently) and Graduate programs on offer besides a few doctoral programs.
- City of Jonesboro where the university is located is a relatively bigger city.

Advance but refundable deposit of USD 5000 is required from all Pakistani students. In case of International Students Scholarships Undergraduate Scholarships – On bases of GPA 3.0 or better in High School or percentage 60% or higher in SSC/HSC. Scholarship amount is USD 1000 to 4000. It will be adjusted in fee. Continued good academic performance is required during studies at ASUGraduate Scholarships and Fellowships.

- Application Form — Complete and sign the application form before sending.
- Application Fee — A non-refundable application fee of forty U.S. dollars ($40.00 U.S.) is required of every international applicant. Include an international money order or U.S. checks made payable to the Arkansas State University or fill out the payment with credit card section in the application form. No wire transfers or application fee waivers.
- Affidavit of Support — An original letter in English on official bank stationery must be submitted from a bank or other financial institution in which the sponsor of the student has savings deposits, certificates of deposit, money market certificates or other types of accounts containing readily available funds. This letter must provide a specific amount of funds; a letter without any amount is not acceptable. The minimum amount required in this letter must be equal to $18,000. Letters must be signed and dated within one year of the time the student plans to enroll. Financial sponsors who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents must submit the I-34 Immigration form which can be printed at http://uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/i-134.htm.

Under United States (US) immigration law and
regulations, international students holding F-1
visas, upon graduating from an academic degree
program may apply to work legally in the US for
one year under the title of Optional Practical
Training (OPT). Graduates of certain academic
programs (as defined by US immigration
regulations) legally may extend their OPT beyond
one year. Information about qualifying for OPT
and other information about OPT is available
from the Office of International Programs (OIP)
for international students who are enrolled at
ASU.
In order to help students, including
international students, seek and obtain jobs and
professional careers upon graduation, ASU
operates a Career Services Office (http://careers.astate.edu/),
which is located in the Student Union and is
free for all ASU students.
