MBA Foundation - 4 Months - C$ 6,900

MBA Foundation is designed for applicants who seek admission to the MBA program and do not have a current GMAT/GRE score or do not have the professional experience waiver may choose to complete a set of four MBA Foundation courses as a means of qualifying for admission for MBA.

Bachelor of Commerce – 4 Years - C$ 18,900 (Year 1 to 3) & C$ 6300 (Year 4)

Bachelor of Arts in Media & Communication – 4 Years - C$ 18,900 (Year 1 to 3) & C$ 6300 (Year 4)

 

University Access Courses for students with IELTS less than 6.5

Course Tuition Fee: C$ 3,500 for a 3 month term

Intakes: January 4, April 4 & July 4

Duration:

3 months (for students with IELTS 6.0)

6 months (for students with IELTS 5.5)

9 months (for students with IELTS 5.0)

International Student Leaders Award

Programs applicable: MBA, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Arts in Media and Communication (On-campus and Online)

Open to: International applicants from countries outside the USA, Canada, and EU. Only International students are eligible.

This award is for students who are dedicated to improving their home country’s economic development.

Applicants should write a Personal Statement describing how receiving an award for their program of choice will affect their personal, educational, and career goals, how they intend to use their skills to contribute to the growth of their home country, and what obstacles they may face.

The award tier will be dependent on the strength of your application and personal statement.

Scholarships for Academic Excellence

Programs applicable: MBA, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Arts in Media and Communication (On-campus and Online)

Open to: International and domestic students

This scholarship is aimed at students with excellent academic grades who wish to go on to excel in their chosen field of work. They should demonstrate leadership potential in a business environment, both through their exceptional academic merit and with an established track record of excellence in their chosen career.

Continuance:

Scholarship recipients of the Undergraduate award must maintain a GPA of 2.67 to remain eligible for the second and subsequent award.

Scholarship recipients of the Graduate awards must maintain a GPA of 3.0 to remain eligible for the second and subsequent award payments.

MBA Foundation Study Grant

Program applicable: MBA (On-campus and Online)

Open to: International and domestic students

For students who wish to study University Canada West’s MBA program, this grant will provide financial support of up to $6,900.

The MBA Foundation Study Grant is subject to full payment of the MBA Foundation course fee and issued as a credit towards payment of the last course credits of the MBA program.

 

 

Documents Checklist

All applicants to the MBA program must submit:

  • A completed application form;
  • Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended;
  • Official documentation confirming professional designations, where applicable;
  • A detailed chronological résumé clearly outlining educational achievements, work experience and progression, and other related experience; and
  • A Letter of Intent (LOI) that clearly explains why the applicant is applying and outlines the student’s academic intentions;
  • Proof of English language proficiency as specified in the “English Language Proficiency” section of the Admissions Policy;
  • Certified translations of any documents not in English.

Applicants who completed undergraduate studies outside Canada must also submit:

  • Documentation confirming awarding of their previous degree(s), if not already indicated on official transcripts; and
  • A credential evaluation from a recognized service if additional analysis is required by the Admissions Committee.

Domestic applicants who are permanent residents must provide a current copy of proof of permanent residency (landed immigrant status) with their application.

Applicants who are Convention Refugees must provide proof of their Refugee status with their application.

Official Transcripts

Applicants must arrange for official transcripts to be sent from any previous high school and post-secondary institution along with their University Canada West application. An official transcript is one that:

  • Is on official institution transcript paper or letterhead;
  • Has an original signature and/or seal from the institution; and
  • Has been sent directly from the issuing institution to the Registrar’s Office at University Canada West.

The envelope must be sealed and tamper-free.

Students must submit official transcripts from every institution at which they were registered, even those from which they withdrew from classes.

Failure to send official transcripts along with the application or in a timely manner may result in a delay or suspension of the admissions process.

 

Deposits Required:

For MBA First term tuition deposit for international students: $6,629.50 (comprised of tuition for 3 courses, student fees, library and technology fees, and orientation)

For MBA Foundation First term tuition deposit for international and domestic students: $7,066 (comprising of 4 courses, student fees, library and technology fees, and orientation) 

For Undergraduate First term tuition deposit for international students: $6,466 (comprised of tuition fees for 4 courses, student fees, library and technology fees, and orientation)
