Pre Master Program ( Jan start )

UCD’s Pre-masters programme is designed for international students that meet the academic requirements of their chosen masters but do not meet the English language criteria for direct entry on to the masters.
Students can chose between 1 or 2 semester pre-masters programme depending on their English language skills.
The 2 semester programme starts in September and is aimed at students with an IELTS level of 5.5 overall with no section below 5.0. (although some programmes such as business and law require more). The Fee for this programme is €10500
The 1 semester programme begins in January and students are required to have an overall IELTS score of at least 6.0 with no section lower than 5.5 for entry. The fee for this programme is €7500
Students on the Pre-masters programmes attend mostly English language classes but they also take 2 or 3 bachelor degree level modules related to their chosen masters to help them familiarise themselves with how the subject is delivered in UCD.
Students who receive an unconditional offer to the Pre-masters automatically receive a conditional offer to the associated Masters degree. When students successfully complete their Pre-masters studies and meet any other entry requirements
They progress on to their Masters the following September.

2015/16 Tuition Fees are valid from January 1st, 2015 for programmes commencing from September 1st, 2015 and are in £ sterling, unless specified as Euros. The Enrolment Fee will be €205 for UK ISCs from January 1st, 2015.
Confirmation payment
The confirmation payment for each student includes:
- €205 enrolment fee (non-refundable)
- €1,000 refundable deposit
- €500 advance fees
- €6,000 towards tuition and security deposit
- Insurance payment for Study Care (if applicable).
You can secure your place at the Dublin ISC by sending us your acceptance form and confirmation payment.
We hold the security deposit to cover any damages and other incidental expenses. We will return the balance left at the end of your course.
Tuition fees
The balance of your tuition fees can be paid each term, one month before the start of each academic term or in full, in advance.
The International Study Centre cannot accept cash sums of more than €550. Fees must be paid by bank transfer. We cannot accept credit cards at the ISC.

July / September start for Students having low English
THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE PREPARATION COURSE
If you haven’t quite managed to reach an IELTS score of 5.0, you can take an English Language Preparation course at the Dublin ISC. Students with an IELTS score of 4.0 will need at least one term of ELP to improve their language skills and meet the entry requirements. Courses start in July or September. If you achieve the required module grades in the ELP, you will be able to start your pathway programme.
